Philippine Airlines suspends Abu Dhabi-Manila flights
flagship carrier is cancelling all flights between Abu Dhabi and
Manila, a move that will affect hundreds of Filipino passengers who may
have already made early bookings. The temporary cancellation of the
service is being carried out as PAL undertakes route assessment
initiatives, the company said.
New route: Manila to London
Manila to London Heathrow is one of Philippine Airlines' newest and
revitalised routes. It made its debut on the fourth of November 2013
after a 15-year absence from Europe.

The Philippines have told airlines they
should allow passengers the use of internet on mobile phones, laptops,
or other devices. The directive covers all "transmitting portable
electronic devices," Zawya reports citing William Hotchkiss, Civil
Aviation Director General. However, when planes take off devices must
be turned off and on silent mode while a plane is refuelling. Airlines
are also told to caution passengers about using speakers and amplifiers
in their devices.

replacing its 254-seat Airbus A340 to a 370-seat Boeing 777 from
