The Philippines have told airlines they

or other devices. The directive covers all "transmitting portable
electronic devices," Zawya reports citing William Hotchkiss, Civil
Aviation Director General. However, when planes take off devices must
be turned off and on silent mode while a plane is refuelling. Airlines
are also told to caution passengers about using speakers and amplifiers
in their devices.
Cebu Pacific Air
(CEB), a low-cost airline in the Philippines, is mulling flights to
Doha, ambassador Crescente Relacion has said. It is the second
Philippine airline to announce plans to fly to Qatar after
flag-carrier, Philippine Airlines (PAL). CEB officials and some
dignitaries are expected to visit the country this week.
Flights between the Philippines and Italy
came closer to reality as the Civil Aeronautics Board concluded
successful negotiations with their counterparts in Italy establishing a
new air services agreement after more than four decades.

firm order with Airbus for an additional 10 A330-300 widebody aircraft.
